I've decided to give my good riding mare a year off to show me how nice of a baby she can produce. PJ has a lot of King Ranch bloodlines in her background along with Skipper W, Hollywood Gold and Leo. This will also be Zippers first foal, so we are very excited to see this cross.
PJ did NOT disappoint me, she gave me a very quiet, large framed filly. "Windy" is going to take time to fill out her framework, but the end result will be well worth the wait. As you can see, Windy has a lot of "good-old fashioned-hard working" bloodlines. She is going to be a good sized horse at maturity, and considering the length of her legs and pasterns, she will cover the ground and take you anywhere you'll want to go. And then look at the future babies you could get out of her.
Both Dusty and her full sister PJ have that "ground-covering" natural walk, they are both a joy to ride and should throw that into their babies. Unfortunately, Dusty aborted her baby this past summer so she's back working for a living for the time being.
This colt is very "people friendly" like the 2 fillies. "Cheyenne" is going to be a good size adult, with a quiet disposition. Pictured at 1 day old, he still hadn't completely "unfolded".
Zip will be bred to Amigo's Bar Mount for a 2009 foal. Since "Cody" is homozygous, Zip will have a paint colored foal that will have some nice strong bones and plenty of size.
"Fancy" is a perfect name for her. As we all know, you can't guarantee paint markings on a baby unless you have a homozygous parent. But, you look at "Fancy's" halter conformation, her bloodlines, her personable disposition and her unending potential, and one can NOT be unhappy with her solid color.
